The much-anticipated On The Scent Podcast Live Event returns on Saturday 5th December! These always-sold-out gatherings have become a highlight of the year: wonderfully friendly occasions where listeners come together to share their love of fragrance.
Lasting friendships have begun here, and guests have travelled from America, Sweden, Morocco and even Australia (yes, really!) to join the fun… Find out more (and how you might be lucky enough to secure a ticket) by reading on…
[EDIT: ALL tickets have now SOLD OUT!]
This year, capacity was particularly limited, and tickets were released to Patreon subscribers first. With most tickets already allocated to Patrons, early access is an especially valuable benefit of subscribing to On The Scent Podcast’s Patreon page.
Patreon subscribers get first access to tickets
Early access to live-event tickets is one of the benefits available to On The Scent Podcast’s Patreon subscribers. This year, with just one event date and a capacity of 70, that head start has proved particularly important.
For anyone hoping to attend future events, joining Patreon, if able to do so, is a good way to access this benefit while enjoying much more from the podcast throughout the year. Signing up includes:
• Early access to live-event tickets, subject to availability.
• An extra podcast episode and accompanying blog every single week, with 183 bonus episodes currently available.
• A monthly live Zoom Party Sniff Along for ’Super Sniffer’ Patreon tier subscribers, bringing together listeners from around the world to discuss the fragrances they’re wearing and loving.
Nicola posted the ticket link and the password required to access tickets on the Patreon subscribers page. All tickets have already been allocated to Patrons for this event, but if you choose to sign up, you’ll be ahead of the queue for the next event!

Why this year’s event has limited capacity
Suzy and Nicola have worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to find a larger, accessible central London venue that could welcome more listeners while remaining affordable. Although brands, PRs and distributors generously donate the goody-bag contents, Suzy and Nicola fund everything else themselves: venue hire, travel, logistics, and all food and drink.
Talks through an intermediary about a much larger venue unfortunately fell through at the last minute, when answers could not be secured in time. With a booking needing to be confirmed, Suzy and Nicola had to return to their usual venue. That late change meant tickets had to be announced to Patrons first, honouring the early-access benefit within a much smaller allocation than hoped.
Running two dates back-to-back last year was also hugely demanding. This year, only one date is possible, and the venue’s agreed capacity is 70. Suzy and Nicola know that this will disappoint some listeners, but have been doing their utmost to ensure the event was able to happen.
Legendary goody bags — with a little less strain
The much-loved goody bags will return, although slightly downsized. For two years running, there was simply too much to fit inside, and last year’s bags actually broke under the strain!
Behind that generosity lies another practical challenge: hundreds of boxes and pallets of donated stock have overtaken Nicola’s home in previous years. Paying for separate storage for goody-bag contents, food, drink and props is not currently affordable — another reason finding a larger venue was such a priority.
Looking ahead to next year
For next year, Suzy and Nicola hope to secure sponsors, more helping hands and a larger venue with greater capacity — as well as somewhere (other than Nicola’s home!) to store the goody-bag contents.
The aim is to welcome even more of the On The Scent community while making the organisation, costs and logistics more manageable. In the meantime, Suzy and Nicola are enormously grateful for everyone’s understanding and support, and cannot wait to welcome this year’s ticket holders for another wonderfully fragrant gathering!
