Our friend and colleague Sali Hughes, together with her Beauty Banks co-founder Jo Jones, have put together quite the most stupendous fund-raiser in the form of Beauty Banks Heist, an online raffle and auction in aid of their charity, which tackles hygiene poverty.
Hosted on the giving platform Givergy, there are dozens of lots in the Silent Auction, including a £1,000 Beauty Experience for two, with CHANEL; a £1,000 Space NK Shopping Experience, a one-on-one consultation with Sali Hughes herself (and a goodie bag, hand-picked by Sali, to go with…)
The lot that we know will get fragrance-lovers excited, however, is the ‘Exclusive Perfume Matchmaking Experience’ with On The Scent’s podcast presenter and writer Suzy Nightingale, in tandem with fellow multi-award-winning fragrance expert Alice du Parcq. The absolute dream team!
The prize includes…
•An introductory 30-min Zoom consultation with Suzy and Alice to narrow down your search
• A 90-min in-person personal shopping experience at a London location
• One perfume of your choice based on your consultation up to the value of £250
The value placed on this money-can’t-usually-buy experience is £5,000 (at time of writing this, bidding was at £550) – but we can’t think of better companions for a deep-dive into fragrance than these two.
Now, you may have seen – or, hopefully, donated to – one of the 100 in-store boxes at Superdrug stores up and down the country where you can drop just-purchased items like deodorant, bodycare, haircare or skincare, to help those whose budgets don’t stretch to items which most of us consider essential and everyday necessities. Maybe you’ve donated to the charity online. Or shopped from a brand – and these span the whole industry – Dove, Elemis, Bio-Sculpture – who’ve at some point pledged their support to this great cause.
